Topological Data Analysis of Brain Lesion Data

Applying TDA Mapper to reveal the shape of behavioral impairment in brain lesion patients and predict functional recovery

Aims

Analyses for this project remain in progress. Broadly, this project seeks to evaluate the utility of topological data analysis (TDA) approaches for characterizing large brain lesion patient databases. Preliminary analyses suggest that TDA-Mapper applied to post-lesion behavioral data reveals patient relatedness structure that is neuroanatomically grounded and outcome predictive.

Description

Project in progress. Upon completion, we will submit a scientific manuscript for peer review and publish an open-source Python Topological Data Analysis Toolbox for performing TDA on high-dimensional behavioral data. Check back soon for more!
